With heavy hearts, we are writing to inform our clients and friends of the recent passing of Louis G. Ricci.
Lou co-founded McSweeney & Ricci with Dick McSweeney 50 years ago with the office originally located on Milk Street in Boston.
He was a leader in the insurance industry and a consummate professional.
His guiding principle was to do the right thing for the client and to provide them with the best possible value and customer service experience.
McSweeney & Ricci continues to uphold the principles he founded the agency upon.
Lou was born and raised in Dorchester. He moved his family to Scituate in 1960 where he resided to present day.
He was the devoted father of Mary Lou Ricci, President of McSweeney & Ricci, Louis G. Ricci, Jr., Christopher P. Ricci, and June K. Somers. He was also beloved by his 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Lou, with his larger than life personality, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29th at 9 AM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate. Visitation at the funeral home Friday 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Norwell Visiting Nurses & Hospice Home, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
