If you’re from Scituate, Massachusetts, you know the name Bob Magner Jr.! McSweeney & Ricci has been lucky enough to have Bob Magner Jr. as a member of our team since 1997, as an Account Manager for our Cohasset office. A longtime Scituate resident, Bob is a likable guy, with a warm smile, but there’s something very special about Bob that some people may not be aware of. Every Sunday for 28 years, Bob has volunteered on the Infant Toddler Surgical Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Over the years, Bob has been given a Presidential Citation, A Lifetime Service Award, a Presidential Award Pin and a letter from President Obama. During the holidays, Bob plays Santa for the children in the hospital and as such, was named the 2007-2008 Quality Performer of the Year by JN Phillips Auto Glass and 890 AM ESPN in Boston. That same year, he walked the red carpet at the ESPY awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

This year Boston Children’s Hospital has initiated a “150 Years Forward” campaign and has launched a video series highlighting some of the most memorable moments with the families, colleagues and volunteers that have shaped the Hospital’s mission along the way.
